After the events of (c) Sonic the hedgehog, Ross at the age of 23 became Acid the hedgehog. His rage and anger caused him to round up the most deadly villains ever faced in Metropolis and Mobius, Using the black chaos emerald to go to and from the present and the past he collected the following villains.
In his time travel he found mephiles and persuaded him to return to the future with him to wreak all manner of destruction and rule the world. By removing mephiles Shadow never faces him therefore haulting the timeline.

Next he found Iblis, (from Silver's Future) And warped the giant fire beast to his time period, the catastrophe was terrorfying. This was also a bribe to mephiles, because The dark monster wanted to join with Iblis.

Acid then went even further through time and found Chaos, However he knew he could not put the water beast with the flames of disaster. So instead he transported Chaos to the other side of the world, gave him the seven chaos emeralds and made the perfect chaos again.

After he found all of these villains he couldn't help but find one more, and he did... The Final hazard was not really efficient in battle but that did not phase Acid. He combined The final Hazard and Devil Doom together to create the most violent and blood thirsty creature called "Black Hazard".

After unleashing all his minions and desicrating the world, a resistance formed. With Tei as its leader. She had taken over her fathers army. Acid was not shaken by the resistance but tried many times to convince her to join him.
